Shack is committed to the resolute sustainability of college campuses.

 

Founded and operated entirely by students studying sustainability, we strive to improve inefficiencies on campus through our community events and campus partnerships. Our most notable partnership with 180 Degrees Consulting, the world’s largest university-based consultancy operating throughout 30+ countries from 100+ undergraduate branches. Our close relationship with the University of Michigan Branch of 180 Degrees Consulting enables us to create strategic change in the ways other student entrepreneurs and student enterprises conduct business. As a university based startup, sometimes profits get in the way of doing the right thing, and we want to set the record straight by educating and empowering fellow enterprises to operate with conscientiousness to the triple bottom line, a framework for evaluating a business’s effectiveness in generating profits, improving the lives of those it serves, as well as making a strong commitment to the environment.

 

With these ideals in mind, Shack and 180 Degrees Consulting aim to work together to change the perception of startups on campus. As a college student, using the Shack platform as a guest or host transcends your personal motivations with a mechanism to improve the lives of all students on your campus.
